My cousin just had her first baby, and I keep finding myself saying: “here’s what my experience has been, but YOU and your baby will have your own path,” and after saying it every time she’s asked a question, I told her that I’ve been telling her what I actually need to hear as a mother of a 2 and 5 year old who are on their very own paths, indeed. This summer was much harder than it needed to be because I was listening to so much noise and advice (and I’d already been off Instagram!) and not trusting my gut or connecting with others. Always a pleasure to read your perspective, and I’m excited to read Melinda’s book when I’m not in a panic mode ☺️

Ahh yes, the panic mode read doesn't usually work well. Read when the timing is right and you can take what you need and leave the rest. You are being a great cousin and such a reminder that we so often give others what we need.
