Hello! I just finished The House in Paris by Kate Bowen and am currently reading The Five Star Weekend by Elin Hilderbrand to get psyched up to go to Cape Cod soon. I can notice myself getting hard on myself about not finishing all my "summer books" but that is where a good mantra can be helpful!

My kids went back to school today so my summer reading is about to pick up for this last month of summer 😂

Ha, I bet! We still have a couple more weeks but I think I'll be quite ready for school to start.

My mantra is- “You know you will feel better if you read this book instead of looking at your phone. That phone has nothing you need to see right now.”

I’m really enjoying Running with Lions by Julian Winters, I put a bunch of his books on hold after loving Find my Way Down to You (out tomorrow!! I got an ARC, it is so good, everyone read it!!)

My kids start back to school this week and I’m working on writing my own manuscript draft so I have word count goals too, but I feel ok right now! Around late November is usually when I get super overwhelmed and feeling like I’m not going to finish everything I want by the end of the year.

Mantras are great for making choices around tech!

Hmm…good advice! Lately, I’m down to the level of “put your phone down; you sat here to read.”

That is a good one!
