It is, it's really very simple but complicated at the same time.

Thank you for sharing my Substack, Kathryn! I’m going to add Subtract to my reading list, which is of course ironic since my list is WAY too long and I’ll almost certainly never get to 99% of the books on it.

Yes, I kind of felt I should have sent a round up with just the book to be practicing subtraction but alas our lives are full of irony.

This sounds insane but the audio book for War and Peace narrated by Thandie Newton is incredibly engaging. All 60 hours and 14 minutes of it!🤣

Wow, I think I would really need to prepare for that one.

It's less intimidating than it sounds, especially if you have the resources from Simon Haisell (especially the character list reminding you who everyone is and how they're connected to each other... helps for the first 3rd of the book getting into it...)

Subtract sounds really interesting, going to have a look for it. I'm listening to The Favourites on audiobook and really enjoying it!

I loved the Favorites--so dramatic and entertaining, the audio was also just done so well. I don't think I would have enjoyed it as much reading in print.

I loved Subtract, too. It’s a great reminder that we forget half the possible solutions.

Subtract is one of my absolute favorite books/concepts!!!

Yes, I actually picked this up because of you, Yael. I started it on audio a while back but I was so intrigued by the concepts I wanted to read it in print because I absorb ideas better that way. By the time I got it in print, I was busy and put it aside. Well, I picked it back up and really enjoyed it and thinking about all the ways to apply subtraction.

Aw, I'm honored that I was the one who connected you to this book/set of ideas! And I agree about the power of print;)
