Thank you for sharing what's going on, Kathryn. Sending you my best in your recovery. As for TV recs, if you haven't seen it already, you MUST watch Girls 5Eva! The funniest!!!

Ahh yes, I have watched a few episodes but my husband was not as enthusiastic as me. Perfect recovery watch.

Take time to heal! I was publishing really regularly (1-2x/ week) until burnout (the election, IVF, raising a toddler, having a full time day job) took hold. I slowed my publishing schedule and really worried that followers would drop off/ forget me/ lose interest. So far, everyone has remained connected and I continue to feel passion and joy about my writing (vs. pushing through and resenting it). We are with you while you wait in the wings and we will be here when you get back

Thank you so much, Julia. I will definitely take time, although it doesn't come naturally, I know that I will need it.

I hope your surgery goes well and that you tolerate your healing. In my experience, it's never as fast as you want it to be, so mindfulness and acceptance will be your best friends. Good luck!

Oh I hope it all goes smoothly and the recovery is speedy! I’ve been wrestling with a shoulder injury over the last two years since a snow ski fall, so I can relate to this very deeply. Dodging surgery for now but putting in so much time at PT. So so hard with kids (and life). ❤️

Thank you, Ashley. Yes the scheduling of PT is not an easy feat in the context of parenthood. I will have lots of it post-op, it's quite the puzzle.

Thank you Clarkie! Something about lemons and lemonade seems suited to this situation. I am so happy to be able to share this space with other voices. And I look forward to Book Party being a part of my culture consumption.
