I love the new name, although the last one was good too. My name was never abbreviated, but fully mispronounced. Janine became Janie, Jeanie, Janet, Janette, Janice, and don't get me started on my last name... For my kids, one kept his name, one did not, but names are our gifts to them. They can choose to keep it or change it. I love both of my kids regardless.
